We're seeking a dedicated Quality Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient care throughout our hospital!

The Opportunity:

As our Quality Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting our quality improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. You'll work collaboratively with various departments, promoting a culture of patient-centered care and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and interpret quality improvement standards to optimize patient care delivery.

  • Coordinate with department representatives to ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are registered, with data submitted accurately and on time.

  • Validate data submitted for KPIs, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.

  • Conduct regular visits to clinical units, verifying adherence to established quality standards and practices.

  • Oversee quality improvement projects, ensuring they are registered and follow a standardized approach.

  • Provide regular updates on the progress of quality improvement projects, compiling action plans.

  • Assist accreditation teams with reviews and achieving standards, submitting updates to the Quality Director.

  • Actively participate in quality initiatives, risk management activities, and other assigned projects.

  • Conduct on-site tracer methodologies to verify compliance with accreditation and patient safety standards within designated units.

  • Guide departments in developing documents (policies, procedures, guidelines) aligned with accreditation standards, professional best practices, and local regulations.

  • Participate in meetings related to quality, safety, and operational matters.

  • Contribute to the development of departmental operational plans by proposing objectives and action plans.

  • Collaborate on quality department reports based on annual plans and team initiatives.

  • Conduct training sessions on quality improvement, patient safety, and other assigned topics.

  • Champion quality and patient safety practices within the hospital.

  • Promote People-Centered Care, involving patients and families in their care decisions whenever possible.

  • Advocate for inclusive healthcare by working on initiatives to provide equitable and accessible care to all patients and families.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department to support departmental functions.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare profession or quality-related field (preferred).

  • 2-3 years of experience in healthcare or a relevant field.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic languages.

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (SPSS proficiency is a plus).

Dar Al Shifa Hospital was established in 1963 as the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. It began as a private maternity care hospital, and has since then steadily grown to encompass a wide spectrum of healthcare services. In 2004 Dar Al Shifa Hospital established an affiliation with CARE-Fertility Unit, a leading independent fertility specialist in the UK. The hospital is distinguished by being the first and sole representative for CARE-Fertility’s in –vitro fertilization (IVF) unit in the Gulf Region and the Middle East. In 2007, Dar Al Shifa Hospital became the first hospital in Middle East to receive accreditation by the (CCHSA), and it continuously introduces healthcare services as well as the latest medical equipment.
