Responsible for/Reporting Staff:

Outsourced projects under Consultancy

Purpose and Scope of the Job-/Summary:

As a Quality Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that medical centers meet and maintain rigorous quality standards and accreditation requirements.

You will work closely with our clients to assess, develop, and implement strategies that enhance the quality of care, patient safety, and organizational performance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

  • Interprets and implements quality improvement standards in hospital and medical centers to ensure quality care is delivered to patients.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of medical center operations, policies, and procedures to identify areas for improvement in quality and accreditation compliance.

  • Evaluate current quality assurance mechanisms and accreditation readiness, identifying gaps and areas for enhancement.

  • Collaborate with medical center leadership to develop tailored strategies and action plans to achieve and maintain accreditation standards, such as those set by organizations like ACI, ACHSI, JCI or others.

  • Provide guidance on the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to address identified areas for enhancement.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on accreditation standards and requirements, providing guidance and support to medical center staff throughout the accreditation process.

  • Prepare medical centers for accreditation surveys by conducting mock surveys, facilitating staff training, and ensuring readiness for on-site visits.

  • Implement quality assurance frameworks and performance metrics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of healthcare delivery processes.

  • Analyze data and performance indicators to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

  • Develop and deliver training programs and educational workshops for medical center staff to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to staff members involved in quality assurance and accreditation activities.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality assurance activities, accreditation processes, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and progress towards quality and accreditation goals

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties arising due to additional department functions as required and assigned by the Head of Department

Qualifications, Competences and Skills Education:

Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, nursing, public health, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Certification in Healthcare Quality Management (e.g., CPHQ) and/or Accreditation (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Accreditation) is highly desirable.

Experience: 5 years of experience in healthcare or any relevant field Licensure:

Proficiency in English and Arabic Languages.

Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft office

Dar Al Shifa Hospital was established in 1963 as the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. It began as a private maternity care hospital, and has since then steadily grown to encompass a wide spectrum of healthcare services. In 2004 Dar Al Shifa Hospital established an affiliation with CARE-Fertility Unit, a leading independent fertility specialist in the UK. The hospital is distinguished by being the first and sole representative for CARE-Fertility’s in –vitro fertilization (IVF) unit in the Gulf Region and the Middle East. In 2007, Dar Al Shifa Hospital became the first hospital in Middle East to receive accreditation by the (CCHSA), and it continuously introduces healthcare services as well as the latest medical equipment.
