Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities/Performance Standards

  • Identify business opportunities and perform market research to determine new business and expansion leads for local and regional market.

  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements and financials.

  • Generate and maintain client and business relationships with potential and existing partners, to ensure new business and projects are identified and established.

  • Follow up of the existing new projects as per the guidelines and scope of work identified by the superior, in order to ensure timely and complete accomplishment of the tasks at hand and the set objectives.

  • Examine risks and potentials for the business opportunities.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Assist in assessing current business distribution channels, develop and evaluate their performance and manage conflicts.

  • Implement event-related sales initiatives to drive revenues and profit within the guidelines set and followed by the Hospital.

  • Assist in creating and developing patients' awareness programs and services to increase patients flow.

  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.

  • Overseeing Hospital Medical Services Portfolio while coordinating with Hospital departments

  • Filtering Hospital Partners platforms; developing Partners Private Business market swot analysis while studying health care programs of private sector and pointing weakness via Employees/ customers platforms Health Care Risks.

  • Filtering Private sector Medical Platform prospecting partners; meeting assigned Operations team for partnership opportunities based on medical services, biomedical equipment's assets and hospital premises sharing services.

  • Preparing Standardized Agreements for specific business models, supervising all admin tasks related to archiving and saving legal documents.

  • Developing Business models internal mechanism and supervising the internal implementation with team leaders of Hospital departments

  • Coordinating with Corporate partners for the implementation of business models internal mechanism.

  • Developing Business Model post project reports and financial analysis.

  • Liaison with superior for departments annual goals and yearly financial budgeting

  • Liaison with superior for department annual KPIs

  • Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed (occupational and patient safety).

  • Provides and promotes people centered care.

  • Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.

Qualifications, Competences and Skills Education:

Bachelor is Degree in Business or relevant discipline from an accredited university. Master's in Business Administration is a vital plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Sales and/or Business Development

Licensure: Not applicable

Language: Very fluent in both conversational and written English.

Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Sales force (CRM) experience

Performance Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills, both English and Arabic

  • Excellent presentation skills and effective public speaker

  • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated

  • Market knowledge, sales planning and closing skills

Other Preferences:

  • Bilingual

  • Local candidates with valid and transferable visa in Kuwait

Dar Al Shifa Hospital was established in 1963 as the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. It began as a private maternity care hospital, and has since then steadily grown to encompass a wide spectrum of healthcare services. In 2004 Dar Al Shifa Hospital established an affiliation with CARE-Fertility Unit, a leading independent fertility specialist in the UK. The hospital is distinguished by being the first and sole representative for CARE-Fertility’s in –vitro fertilization (IVF) unit in the Gulf Region and the Middle East. In 2007, Dar Al Shifa Hospital became the first hospital in Middle East to receive accreditation by the (CCHSA), and it continuously introduces healthcare services as well as the latest medical equipment.
