ResponsibilitiesLegal Consultation and Compliance
Provide internal legal consultations and advice to ensure compliance with national healthcare laws and regulations.
Contract Management
Formulate advice and review all contract agreements to protect the hospital's interests and ensure legal compliance.
Contract Negotiations
Participate in contract negotiations, monitor implementation of legal clauses, and ensure legal integrity of all documents.
Litigation Management
Initiate legal procedures against entities or individuals threatening hospital rights, and oversee their implementation, reporting to hospital management.
Representation and Legal Proceedings
Represent the hospital before legal authorities and courts, consulting relevant legal bodies regarding legal actions involving the hospital.
Human Resources Support
Assist Human Resources in drafting and revising employment contracts, ensuring alignment with Kuwaiti Labor Laws.
Legal Reporting and Advice
Prepare legal reports and advice on various hospital-related issues, including investigations and corrective actions against employees.
Performance Reporting and Risk Assessment
Submit performance reports with recommendations to address shortcomings, conduct periodic risk assessments, and develop action plans.
External Legal Liaison
Liaise with external legal offices for cases involving the hospital, ensuring efficient performance and representation.
Legal Compliance
Monitor legal license procedures, services, and expansion projects to ensure compliance with national laws.
Employee Guidance and Representation
Guide employees through legal issues and accompany them to legal hearings and proceedings.
Correspondence and Documentation
Correspond with relevant governmental bodies and maintain legal documents required by law.
Record Keeping
Maintain records of all necessary legal documents and provide them as required by authorized individuals.
Reporting to CEO
Take assignments and provide reports to the CEO as necessary.
Legal Research and Review
Continuously review laws, regulations, and resolutions pertinent to the hospital, interpreting them for management.
Safety Standards
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including occupational and patient safety regulations.
Miscellaneous Duties
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Direct Reporting Authority.
Quality and Patient Safety
Ensure adherence to quality and patient safety practices.
Promotion of People-Centered Care
Promote people-centered care and inclusive health in alignment with organizational mission.
Equitable Care
Promote equitable and accessible care for patients and families with special needs.
Analysis and Reporting
Prepare forecasts, quarterly summaries, and review statistical and audit reports, conducting analysis and interpretation as required.

Dar Al Shifa Hospital was established in 1963 as the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. It began as a private maternity care hospital, and has since then steadily grown to encompass a wide spectrum of healthcare services. In 2004 Dar Al Shifa Hospital established an affiliation with CARE-Fertility Unit, a leading independent fertility specialist in the UK. The hospital is distinguished by being the first and sole representative for CARE-Fertility’s in –vitro fertilization (IVF) unit in the Gulf Region and the Middle East. In 2007, Dar Al Shifa Hospital became the first hospital in Middle East to receive accreditation by the (CCHSA), and it continuously introduces healthcare services as well as the latest medical equipment.
