Job Description
This position is responsible for supervising a team of marketing professionals and ensuring the successful execution of short-term marketing plans. You will play a vital role in aligning unit/division marketing activities with the overall company strategy and driving results.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment:
Supervise team members to ensure marketing plans for your unit/division are aligned with the company's overall marketing strategy.
Work collaboratively to develop and execute tactical marketing initiatives that support short-term goals.
Promotional Activities:
Oversee the listing, allocation, monitoring, and evaluation of trade promotions.
Manage the ordering of Point-of-Sale (POS) materials for promotions and marketing campaigns.
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct market competition surveys to stay informed about industry trends.
Perform regular market visits to assess the execution of marketing initiatives.
Analyze marketing data and provide insights to inform short- and medium-term operational decisions.
Reporting & Communication:
Prepare timely reports on promotions and events for senior management.
Contribute input to sales forecasting based on market analysis.
Customer & Supplier Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for customer and supplier negotiations related to marketing spend.
Resolve tier 1 escalated customer/supplier issues within established guidelines.
Work to ensure customer and supplier satisfaction and contribute to loyalty and retention programs.
Team Management:
Provide direct supervision to marketing professionals and senior professionals.
Set objectives, provide coaching and training, and manage performance within the team.
Take corrective action for underperforming team members according to company policies.
Strategic Planning:
Provide input into the development of short- and medium-term marketing plans for the department.
Assist in implementing departmental strategic goals in collaboration with senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing role, with some supervisory experience.
Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
Proven ability to develop and execute marketing plans.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage and motivate a team.
Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., CRM, marketing automation).
