Job Description
Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and surpass sales targets.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse sales team to ensure high performance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the sales team.
Build and sustain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
Understand and address the needs of customers to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Maintain deep knowledge of the product range, particularly in the processed meat and protein products sector.
Utilize expertise in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector to enhance market presence and sales.
Implement effective sales processes and ensure the use of appropriate sales tools, such as Hand-Held Terminals or similar systems.
Oversee distribution and van sales operations to maximize efficiency and sales performance.
Regularly analyze sales data and report on sales performance.
Adjust strategies based on data insights to continually improve sales outcomes.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or similar discipline.
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
At least 10 years of overall experience including at least 5 years of exclusive experience in Protein range of products with Foodservice Key Accounts or FMCG sales management or distribution sales.
Experience in processed meat industry and product range, and ideally - technical knowledge.
Experience in handling diverse sales teams delivering high performance.
Experience with Hand-Held Terminals or similar systems with previous distribution and van sales experience.
Knowledge of sales operation and Key Account dynamics and decision making.
Knowledge of Foodservice customers WoW (Ways of Working) and RTM (Route to Market) skills/strong trusted trade relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
