About the Role:

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of a GMG store. You will play a critical role in driving sales, creating a positive customer experience, managing staff, and ensuring efficient store operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Profitability:

    • Communicate store sales targets to your team and develop strategies to achieve financial objectives.

    • Track and analyze sales reports, identifying trends and opportunities to increase sales and profitability.

    • Monitor and evaluate brand performance and competitor activity to develop data-driven action plans.

  • Store Operations & Customer Service:

    • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including point-of-sale activities, inventory management, cash handling, and loss prevention.

    • Ensure staff is well-trained and provides exceptional customer service, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.

    • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising for in-store displays and window presentations.

    • Coordinate with the facilities department on repairs and maintenance needs.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Motivate, coach, and develop your store team to achieve their full potential.

    • Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for peak seasons and promotional events.

    • Train your team on effective inventory management techniques.

  • Communication & Reporting:

    • Communicate effectively with your team, colleagues, and company leadership.

    • Prepare and submit reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Proven experience in a retail leadership role, preferably within the GCC region.

  • Strong understanding of the sports, food, or health industry (a plus).

  • In-depth knowledge of retail operations and best practices.

  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in using retail management software (a plus).
