Job Description
As an IT sales professional, you'll find yourself in a dynamic and challenging role where no two days are the same. Here's what you can expect:
Interacting with Customers: You'll communicate with customers either face-to-face or over the phone to understand their specific business needs.
Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of technical specifications and features of the company's products and services to meet customer requirements effectively.
Cold-Calling and Lead Generation: Conduct cold-calling to generate new business leads, arrange meetings, and create interest in products and services.
Networking and Relationship Building: Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, follow-up calls, and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
Presentations and Demonstrations: Prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of software to customers to showcase product capabilities.
Marketing and Promotion: Market and promote a portfolio of products through writing sales literature, attending industry events, and other promotional activities.
Staying Updated: Keep abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and peripherals to provide up-to-date information to customers.
Sales Planning: Develop effective sales plans using sales methodology to meet set targets.
Technical Advice: Provide technical advice to customers on the installation and use of computer systems and networks.
Meeting Targets: Meet sales targets set by managers and contribute to team targets.
Handling Problems: Handle hardware or software problems and faults, referring to technical colleagues where necessary.
Responding to Documents: Respond to tender documents, proposals, reports, and supporting literature as required.
Managing Workload: Organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals to manage workload effectively.
