Job Description

Primary Objective: The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing, advising on, and administering all activities related to contracts for works and services associated with oil and gas facilities projects carried out under various contract forms and modes of reimbursement.
Specific Accountabilities:
Manage pre-award activities including bid invitation preparation, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract preparation, and award formalities.
Oversee post-award activities including kick-off meetings, contract submittals, variation orders, claims, and closeout.
Draft Invitation to Tender packages for contracts for large O&G facilities projects and review client contract conditions.
Coordinate with legal, risk management, tax, and accounting personnel for contract issues.
Function as part of a negotiating team to establish contract terms and conditions.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, financial provisions, and risk features.
Prepare documentation for change orders and client approvals.
Identify and resolve contractual problems, ensuring timely response to client inquiries.
Manage Contract Quality standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Arts.
Chartered status (MRICS) or equivalent professional qualification with post-graduation experience.
Extensive knowledge of Contractual Terms & Conditions and Commercial Contract Law.
Excellent understanding and extensive experience in procurement and contract administration processes.
Familiarity with procedural requirements and providing an Audit Trail for Management purposes.
Middle East/Arabian Gulf experience preferred but not mandatory.
