The document controller II is responsible, within the Project team up to the delivery of final documentation, for the management of all the documentation exchanged between one or several (depending on extent of scope) Contractor(s)
One of the document controller’s primary objectives is to ensure that all the documents including correspondence issued by the concerned Contractor(s) (and associated Subcontractors/Suppliers/Vendors) are developed and managed in accordance with the Project Document Control specifications.
The document controller II will also be responsible for bringing an active support to all concerned members of the Project team in the performance of their document-related duties (review and comment of documents, approval process, etc.), and will be the focal point for all matters related to documentation management and control (included correspondence) from Contractor(s) and concerned members of the Project team.
The document controller II will also participate in the overall documentation process.
The document controller II shall observe strict confidentiality in the performance of his activities.
The document controller II shall liaise with the Document Control Leader of the Project Control team.
The document controller II is also accountable for demonstrating exemplary behavior with regard to HSE rules & requirements.
Activities:
To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE and to respect all HSSE requirements.
To participate in the implementation of the Documentation Management system at Contractors’, setting-up and explaining rules and procedures, jointly with the Document Control Leader and with the help of concerned Corporate Departments.
To use EDMS for day-to-day activities such as: registration and integration of contractor-received documents, registration of transmittal sheets, definition and launch of review work-flows (maintenance of a distribution matrix for this), follow-up and expediting of
Reviewing process, a compilation of commented document, preparation of transmittal sheets out and transmission back to the contractor.
To control the conformity of contractor-issued documents with regard to Project specifications and standards, commenting on the conformity of documents, and rejecting documents as necessary.
To provide all relevant information requested for Project reporting.
To keep and archive hard copies of drawings or other documents as required.
To report to the Document Control Leader of the Project Control team.
To observe strict confidentiality in the performance of his duties and on the received/issued documentation, all along the course of the Project.
QualificationsWhat we are looking for:
Extensive experience in document control gained through working on O&G projects preferably with ADNOC,
Strong working experience on ACONEX.
Good communication skills in English.
