Job Description
Mace is managing a portfolio of entertainment venues across Saudi Arabia. They are seeking a highly qualified Cost Engineer to join their team and contribute to the project's success from concept design to later delivery stages.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth cost analyses of various project aspects, identifying cost patterns, variances, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
Generate cost projections and forecasts to inform financial planning and budgeting decisions.
Serve as the primary contact for project management consultants (PMCs) on all cost-related matters, addressing their questions and ensuring they meet project requirements.
Ensure PMCs adhere to established company processes and procedures, providing training and guidance as needed.
Coordinate with PMCs to guarantee accurate and timely submission of cost data and reports.
Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage, analyze, and visualize large sets of cost data.
Develop insightful cost reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management review.
Maintain a well-organized cost information database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Identify and propose improvements to cost engineering practices within the project.
Stay abreast of the latest cost engineering and data analysis tools and techniques.
Collaborate with other Project Management Office (PMO) team members to integrate cost data with other key performance indicators (KPIs) for a more comprehensive project view.
Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with established cost-related procedures and standards.
Proactively identify and report any deviations from the budget or established procedures to senior management.
About You:
Possess a relevant degree qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field (required).
Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal development and hold (or be actively pursuing) a chartered professional qualification in cost engineering or a similar field (preferred).
Experience with fit-out projects is a valuable asset (preferred).
Skilled in using digital tools and comfortable working in a technology-driven environment.
Possess excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to provide effective support to project teams.
Have a solid background in construction or project management.
