Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Supply Coordinator to join our Nursing Affairs (NA) team and play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of clinical supplies and equipment.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure Quality Patient Care Through Supplies: Contribute to achieving positive patient outcomes by overseeing the evaluation, acquisition, and utilization of clinical supplies and equipment.

  • Bridge the Gap Between Nursing and Logistics: Act as the primary liaison between Nursing Affairs, Logistics, Clinical Engineering, and Bids & Contracts departments, streamlining procurement processes.

  • Expert Resource for Staff: Provide guidance and advice to nursing staff and Materials Management on selecting, evaluating, purchasing, and using clinical products to ensure safe and high-quality patient care.

  • Equipment Management Pro: Collaborate with Clinical Engineering to establish, monitor, and compile evaluations on clinical equipment and products. Coordinate product recalls as needed.

  • Tech-Savvy Leader: Serve as a super-user for approved logistics-related computer applications used in Nursing Management. Train nursing personnel on these applications and purchasing/logistics processes.

  • Standardization Champion: Lead standardization activities by chairing the Nursing Products Standardization Committee and providing business analysis support.

  • Data Analyst Extraordinaire: Develop and analyze monthly utilization and expense reports for high-cost/high-volume supplies, identifying potential cost savings.

  • Budgeting Expertise: Participate in developing the NA supply and equipment budget by providing costing information, analyzing expense reports, and forecasting divisional funding needs.

  • Acquisition Specialist: Monitor and expedite the acquisition of approved equipment, particularly for capital and expansion projects. Follow up on and correct returned/rejected requisitions.

  • Process Improvement Advocate: Recommend changes to supply management processes and systems to achieve cost-effective resource utilization and better clinical outcomes.

  • Performance Improvement Collaborator: Participate in Performance Improvement activities and contribute to special projects aligned with nursing's strategic priorities.

  • Mentor and Role Model: Participate in staff orientation programs, create a positive learning environment, and mentor new staff to develop their competence.

  • Committee Participation: Represent Nursing Affairs on various committees and task forces as assigned.

  • Reporting and Recordkeeping: Prepare reports and maintain accurate records as required.

  • Commitment to Continuous Learning: Participate in program performance improvement activities and uphold all hospital policies and procedures.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree/Diploma in Nursing.

  • Has four (4) years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or six (6) years with an Associate's Degree/Diploma.

  • Possesses strong computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets.

  • Is a Registered Nurse with a current license from their country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Licensure.

  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with various departments.

  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to patient care and process improvement.
