Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Transplant Nephrology and Pancreas Transplantation Physician to join our team and play a vital role in our renowned kidney and pancreas transplant program.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Assist attending physicians in delivering high-quality medical care to adult kidney and pancreas transplant patients, adhering to established standards and best practices.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures related to patient acceptance, eligibility, admissions, consultations, daily care, operating room protocols, outpatient practices, and patient discharge.
Take detailed medical histories, conduct thorough physical examinations, and develop patient management plans for discussion with the consultant.
Document physician orders, progress notes, and other essential medical records for both inpatients and outpatients.
Provide comprehensive care management (diagnosis, treatment, and prevention) to adult transplant candidates and recipients.
Participate in on-call coverage for the Adult Transplant Nephrology and Pancreas Transplantation section during evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Prepare for and actively participate in consultant and specialist ward rounds, documenting findings in medical records.
Follow up on investigation results for inpatients and outpatients, collaborating with the consultant to adjust treatment plans as needed.
Participate in relevant committees such as the Renal Transplant Committee, Renal Transplant Collaborative Practice Committee, and pancreas selection meetings.
Perform all other assigned duties as directed.
Academic Responsibilities:
Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to residents and fellows as assigned.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in adult transplant nephrology and pancreas transplantation, implementing them selectively to improve patient care.
Actively participate in educational activities and training programs organized by the department.
Research Responsibilities:
Participate actively in clinical, basic, and translational research projects.
Contribute to the publication of research papers following the Research Advisory Council Policy to enhance knowledge, improve the quality of postgraduate education, and elevate KFSH&RC's national and international recognition.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Undertake administrative duties assigned by the department head, department chair, and/or Director of the Organ Transplant Center.
Participate in all mandatory departmental activities, including staff meetings, core lectures, research forums, etc.
Serve on departmental and hospital committees as required.
Contribute actively to documenting patient care processes and outcomes within the medical chart and the Organ Transplant Registry.
Assist the department in developing and implementing strategies to optimize resource utilization within the department and across the hospital.
Adhere to current hospital and medical staff bylaws, regulations, and policies, staying informed of any updates.
Participate in self and others' education, training, and development activities.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited medical school with good standing (required).
Must have completed a fellowship training program in transplant nephrology and pancreas transplantation medicine (required).
Four (4) years of experience in adult transplant nephrology and pancreas transplantation and/or nephrology (required).
