Pipe fitter

We are seeking a qualified Hospital Plumber to join our facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the proper function of our plumbing systems, which are essential for patient care and overall hospital operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Installation, Repair & Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain a variety of plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and pumps used for heating, water, gas, and sewage.

• Equipment Expertise: Work with various plumbing-related equipment in hospitals, residential areas, and recreational facilities, utilizing hand and power tools, soldering equipment, and light welding equipment.

• Following Instructions: Accurately interpret and follow drawings, sketches, specifications, written and verbal instructions, and maintain detailed records of your work.

• New System Installation: Install new piping systems for chilled water, condensate drains, fire lines, sprinklers, fire hose cabinets, and other essential systems.

• Material Selection: Select the appropriate types and sizes of pipes and materials based on project specifications.

• Project Planning & Coordination: Plan the sequence of operations, ensure a clear work area, and estimate manpower and time needed to complete projects effectively.

• Comprehensive Piping Skills: Perform a range of plumbing tasks, including cutting, threading, bending, assembling, joining, and securing pipes using various techniques.

• Leak Testing: Conduct thorough leak testing using a hydro test pump after installation or repairs and submit testing reports.

• Teamwork & Leadership: Guide and support junior staff members.

• Shift Work: The position may require rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.

• Safety Focus: Prioritize safety by adhering to all prescribed safety procedures.
