Job Description

We are searching for a qualified pharmacist to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective medication use for our patients.

What You'll Do:

  • Medication Management Expert: Review, evaluate, and process medication orders, meticulously verifying accuracy and potential interactions.

  • Patient Medication Counselor: Provide clear and comprehensive medication counseling to patients, addressing their questions and concerns about medications, side effects, and interactions.

  • Detailed Documentation: Accurately document interventions, recommendations, and clarifications within the electronic health information system.

  • Inventory Control Specialist: Maintain strict control and security of all medications, especially controlled narcotics, adhering to all laws and regulations.

  • Drug Information Guru: Serve as a valuable resource for healthcare providers by providing comprehensive drug information on selection, dosage, interactions, monitoring, and side effects.

  • Team Leader and Mentor: Supervise, precept, and guide junior pharmacists, residents, trainees, and students, ensuring their medication-related practices meet the highest standards.

  • Collaborative Healthcare Partner: Assist and collaborate with healthcare providers on medication management and use systems, optimizing patient care.

  • Quality Improvement Champion: Participate in performance improvement projects to continuously enhance medication safety and effectiveness.

  • Commitment to Professional Development: Actively participate in self-development and contribute to the training and development of others.

  • Adherence to Policies: Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

You're a Perfect Match If You Have:

  • A Master's degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.

  • Two (2) years of relevant pharmacy experience (with a Master's degree) or four (4) years (with a Pharm.D. or Bachelor's degree).

  • A strong commitment to patient safety and medication accuracy.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • A meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

  • A passion for patient education and counseling.

  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
