Job Description

This role is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical education and professional development to nurses within your assigned unit(s) or specialty area. You will collaborate with the education team to develop and deliver educational programs, improve nursing knowledge and skills, and promote evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with education coordinators to identify and address educational needs of nurses in your unit(s).

  • Develop and coordinate educational programs for staff at the unit level.

  • Contribute to improving nurses' knowledge and skills within the hospital.

  • Partner with staff, nurse leaders, and educators to establish educational plans.

  • Help maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Act as a preceptor/mentor, supervising and teaching nursing students and new staff.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care.

  • Serve as a clinical and professional role model for nurses at the unit level.

  • Promote knowledge sharing and mentorship based on current research and best practices.

  • Implement processes for ongoing learning and encourage evidence-based practice at the unit level.

  • Provide nursing expertise and consultation to the multidisciplinary team on clinical practice for various patient populations.

  • Collaborate with the team to achieve better clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

  • Liaise with internal and external organizations to exchange information, benchmark practices, and coordinate activities related to clinical specialties.

  • Analyze nurse-sensitive indicator data and lead initiatives to improve performance.

  • Report equipment failures, safety concerns, and inventory issues to the head nurse.

  • Contribute to cost-efficiency within your assigned area by using equipment and materials responsibly.

  • Participate in special projects and assignments aligned with nursing strategic priorities and professional practice models.

  • Continuously develop your own knowledge, skills, and professional awareness.

  • Maintain a professional profile and document your performance and skill development.

  • Participate in self and others' education, training, and development activities.

  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.

  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree/diploma in Nursing (required).

  • Minimum four years of nursing experience with a Bachelor's degree (preferred).

  • Minimum six years of experience with an Associate's degree/diploma (acceptable).

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure from the country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensure (required).

  • Experience as a preceptor for nurses, completion of a preceptor course, and prior teaching experience (clinical or academic) are required.
