The Opportunity

In this leadership role, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing our cargo business system. You'll be responsible for ensuring the system is up-to-date, compliant with industry standards, and effectively utilized by our staff. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and innovation within our cargo operations.

What You'll Do:

• System Leadership:

  • Lead and monitor the Cargo Systems Compliance Team, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.

  • Oversee system training and on-the-job support for users, coordinating with the 1st level help desk.

• Training & Development:

  • Proactively plan and develop training programs for system users, aligning with a published training schedule.

  • Champion user adoption of new functionalities and process improvements.

  • Conduct training needs assessments (TNA) to ensure staff possess the necessary skills to excel in their roles.

  • Design, implement, and review training materials to effectively impart system knowledge and skills.

• System Optimization:

  • Maintain the cargo system by ensuring it's updated with the latest version and all functionalities are enabled.

  • Collaborate with data reporting and commercial teams to leverage business system data for evaluating opportunities.

  • Continuously seek ways to enhance service levels through technology.

  • Identify and implement technology optimization opportunities for existing and proposed systems.

  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement by exploring new process options using cargo systems.

  • Analyze the impact of newly implemented processes and conduct gap analyses to identify areas for further improvement.

• Communication & Collaboration:

  • Effectively communicate major functionality changes and process improvements to stakeholders.

  • Work closely with airline handling enhancement initiatives/projects to implement agreed-upon solutions.

Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in a relevant business field (e.g., logistics, supply chain management, information technology).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cargo handling or related role.

• Strong understanding of cargo business systems and best practices.

• Proven ability to develop and deliver training programs.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint & Excel).
