The Role:
As an Infrastructure Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing vital utility networks. You'll leverage your expertise in Civil 3D software and BIM standards to create accurate and efficient models, drawings, and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Possess in-depth knowledge of utility networks, including water, power, telecommunications, and more.
Interpret and understand complex engineering calculations.
Develop high-quality Civil 3D models following BIM standards.
Create and maintain detailed catalogs and parts lists.
Generate plan and profile drawings from your models.
Work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to new assignments.
Ensure adherence to BIM standards and workflows.
Prepare and distribute prints and electronic deliverables for team coordination and final project submissions.
Utilize project management platforms like ProjectWise and BIM360 for efficient information exchange.
Conduct thorough quality checks on models and drawings to guarantee compliance with standards.
Understand and apply company procedures and policies to meet deadlines.
Utilize BIM tools (Civil 3D) for model creation, extract drawings, and perform clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks.
Develop and maintain parametric library elements in Civil 3D and Revit.
Manage Civil 3D data shortcuts within ProjectWise and BIM360 environments.
Adhere to project and client-specific styles, linework, and naming conventions in both Revit and Civil 3D.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of ISO 19650 standards.
Possess a strong grasp of the design process across various engineering disciplines.
Leverage and potentially modify Dynamo scripts to enhance workflows.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure design engineering.
Previous experience working on Middle East-based projects (preferred).
Diploma in Engineering (required).
