About the Role:

In this project-specific role (36 months), you will play a vital role in overseeing the construction of a highways and bridges project in Bahrain. You will lead a team of site engineers, ensure adherence to project specifications, and manage all aspects of contract administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of site engineers and inspectors.

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with plans, specifications, and Ministry of Works requirements.

  • Liaise with clients, authorities, and contractors to coordinate project activities.

  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and monitor construction progress.

  • Manage and address non-conformance reports from the contractor.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and correspondence.

  • Conduct regular inspections of installed components to ensure quality and adherence to design.

  • Lead weekly progress meetings with the client, contractor, and other stakeholders (in the absence of the Resident Engineer).

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required).

  • Master's degree in Engineering and PMP certification (preferred).

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in civil engineering and bridge construction projects.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supervising the construction of cable-stayed bridges (critical).

  • Experience with FIDIC or equivalent construction contracts (a plus).

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Strong client coordination and reporting skills.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and a motivated team player.

  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
