About the Role:
In this project-specific role (36 months), you will play a vital role in overseeing the construction of a highways and bridges project in Bahrain. You will lead a team of site engineers, ensure adherence to project specifications, and manage all aspects of contract administration.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of site engineers and inspectors.
Ensure all construction activities comply with plans, specifications, and Ministry of Works requirements.
Liaise with clients, authorities, and contractors to coordinate project activities.
Conduct quality assurance inspections and monitor construction progress.
Manage and address non-conformance reports from the contractor.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and correspondence.
Conduct regular inspections of installed components to ensure quality and adherence to design.
Lead weekly progress meetings with the client, contractor, and other stakeholders (in the absence of the Resident Engineer).
Perform other duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required).
Master's degree in Engineering and PMP certification (preferred).
Minimum 12 years of experience in civil engineering and bridge construction projects.
Minimum 5 years of experience supervising the construction of cable-stayed bridges (critical).
Experience with FIDIC or equivalent construction contracts (a plus).
Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong client coordination and reporting skills.
Proactive, adaptable, and a motivated team player.
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
