Job Description

1. System Administration:

   • Manage and administer computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.

   • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.

   • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.

   • Implement security measures to safeguard systems and data against unauthorized access or breaches.

2. Network Management:

   • Maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

   • Configure and manage network protocols, IP addressing, and VLANs.

   • Ensure network connectivity and troubleshoot connectivity issues as needed.

   • Implement network security measures and protocols to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.

3. User Support:

   • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users on IT-related issues.

   • Respond to helpdesk requests in a timely and efficient manner.

   • Assist with the setup and configuration of user accounts, email, and other IT resources.

   • Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to support user education.

4. Data Backup and Recovery:

   • Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies.

   • Perform regular backups of critical data and systems to prevent data loss.

   • Test backup and recovery procedures to ensure reliability and effectiveness.

   • IT Infrastructure Planning:

   • Assess current IT infrastructure and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.

   • Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and expansions.

   • Collaborate with other IT team members and stakeholders to implement solutions that meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role, minimum of 5 years.

• Proficiency in system administration, network management, and IT security.

• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), server technologies, and virtualization.

• Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, PMIS, and VPNs.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with users at all levels of the organization.
