Job Description
As an Inspector at AECOM, you will be responsible for conducting quality control and quality assurance inspections of construction work in infrastructure projects. Your role will involve analyzing codes, standards, and project contract documents to ensure compliance, providing general inspection on all construction and subcontractor work, and verifying equipment settings and testing requirements.
Job Duties:
Analyze applicable codes, standards, and project contract documents to ensure compliance.
Provide general inspection on construction and subcontractor work to ensure safety and quality.
Verify equipment settings, alignment, testing, and energization requirements.
Familiarize yourself with project drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures.
Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents, standards, and specifications.
Maintain records of contractor human and equipment resources.
Undertake site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
Liaise with the contractor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and equipment requirements.
Prepare daily reports, works orders, materials delivery, and inspection programs.
Implement quality controls and procedures on-site.
Assist in site measurements and surveying checks as needed.
Co-ordinate with client project managers during site inspections.
Assist in the preparation of correspondences and resolving site problems promptly.
Monitor start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works.
Maintain records of materials tests performed and executed works.
Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and plans.
Experience in wet/dry utilities works.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification: High school/Technical Institute Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering field.
Experience: Civil Engineering graduate with a minimum of 8 years' experience in similar works, or Technical Institute Diploma in a related field with a minimum of 8+ years' experience, or High School or equivalent graduate with a minimum of 12+ years' experience.
