About the Opportunity
We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced CAD/BIM Operator to join our ECD Masterplanning and Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Design Development & Support: Collaborate closely with the design team to develop and produce construction drawings for project sites, ensuring adherence to all codes and standards.
Technical Expertise: Perform advanced technical tasks using a variety of resources, including computers, to support the delivery of infrastructure projects. You may also train and supervise others.
CAD Production: Manage and undertake assigned CAD production tasks, meeting agreed deadlines and adhering to industry and project standards.
2D & 3D Drawings: Develop high-quality 2D and 3D drawings to support the design process.
Quality Assurance & Control: Perform audit checks on CAD drawings and BIM models to ensure accuracy and quality.
Graphic Presentations: Prepare compelling graphic presentations using design software such as PowerPoint, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Software Expertise: Develop and utilize CAD/BIM software templates for models and drawings. Prepare and review QA/QC rule sets for CAD/BIM software.
Project Meetings: Attend project-level CAD/BIM meetings as needed.
Teamwork & Support: Support Project Leads and Design Managers with technical expertise.
CAD Tools Proficiency: Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D drawings, models, and other outputs.
BIM Implementation: Monitor and support the implementation of CAD/BIM on projects, ensuring compliance with program CAD/BIM standards.
Project Management: Support the development of project-specific CAD/BIM Project Management Plans (PMPs).
Software Templates: Develop program-level software templates.
QA/QC Reviews: Assist in the QA/QC review of CAD/BIM deliverables, including COBie and IFC data.
Technical Drawings: Create conceptual and detailed drawings using strong artistic and graphic skills, converting these drawings into technical drawings when necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Civil & Survey Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM and GIS engineering roles is a requirement.
Mastery of BIM software platforms such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk MAP, Bentley MicroStation, and Infraworks is essential.
Strong proficiency in GIS software such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, and Autodesk AutoCAD.
Revit and Navisworks experience is a plus.
