Job Description
We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Contract Specialist with expertise in commercial medical contracts to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts within the medical industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead negotiations for complex commercial contracts related to medical products, services, and partnerships, balancing the interests of all parties involved.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, procurement, sales, and finance, to develop comprehensive contract strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Conduct thorough reviews of contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks, propose appropriate modifications, and ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Provide expert guidance on contract-related matters, offering proactive solutions to mitigate risks and enhance contract performance.
Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting through execution and renewal, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring adherence to timelines.
Monitor contract performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize contract outcomes.
Stay abreast of industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging best practices in commercial medical contracting, integrating relevant insights into contract management processes.
Mentor and support junior contract specialists, fostering their professional development and ensuring continuity of knowledge within the team.
Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in contract management or a related field, with a focus on commercial contracts within the medical industry.
In-depth understanding of contract law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards applicable to the medical sector.
Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing high-value commercial contracts, demonstrating strategic thinking and sound judgment.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical acumen, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify creative solutions to complex contractual issues.
Proficiency in contract management software platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities effectively and delivering results under tight deadlines.
