Job Description Main Accountabilities

The Communication Manager for KSA will be responsible for implementing communication strategies defined by the HQ to enhance the company's reputation, engage stakeholders, and drive business objectives in the Kingdom. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing both internal and external communication functions. They should demonstrate adaptability, crisis management proficiency, and a deep understanding of the local business landscape in KSA.

Detailed Job Description

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, media outlets, industry partners, and community organizations representing Veolia values and interests.

  • Media Relations: In coordination with Veolia Near & Middle East HQ, Manage media relations by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with local journalists, editors, and media outlets. Proactively pitch stories and respond to media inquiries to ensure positive coverage.

  • Crisis Communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans, including clear and timely communication to internal and external stakeholders during crises. Act as the point of contact for crisis communication, ensuring a consistent and reassuring message.

  • Brand Management: Safeguard and enhance the company's brand image in KSA through effective communication strategies. Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and materials.

  • Internal Communication: Develop and implement internal communication plans to foster a transparent and engaging workplace culture.

  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality content for various platforms, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media content. Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines and resonates with the local audience.

  • Budget Management: Manage the communication budget effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities in KSA.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the communication team in KSA. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.

  • Proven track record in managing communication for multinational companies in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia.

  • Proficiency in Arabic is essential, coupled with fluency in English.
