Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Procurement Assistant to join our team in Kuwait. As a Procurement Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. You will work closely with the procurement team to source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor inventory levels. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the procurement process by sourcing and evaluating suppliers, obtaining quotes, and preparing purchase orders.
Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
Assist in the resolution of any issues or disputes with suppliers, including quality or delivery concerns.
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payment of invoices and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
Provide administrative support to the procurement team, such as organizing meetings and maintaining files and documents.
Preferred Candidate:
Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Kuwaiti procurement regulations and practices is preferred.
Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
Skills
Graduate with excellent communication skills
Should be well versed in Computers - Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Preferred prior experience in construction companies.
