Job Description

Worley is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Planning Engineer to join their growing team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects by providing expert planning, scheduling, and reporting.

Primary Objective:

  • Manage all project planning functions to deliver projects on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on various project stages in a multi-project environment using Primavera P6 software.

  • Identify and communicate the project's critical path to management and proactively address challenges to ensure timely completion.

  • Lead the project planning process, overseeing planning personnel and activities across the organization.

  • Collaborate with the Project Services Manager to manage the project schedule and maximize client benefits.

  • Provide planning expertise and support project teams with their planning activities.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Supervise the planning function during project design and construction phases.

  • Maintain project performance through adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs.

  • Continuously improve personal, team performance, and work practices by evaluating their effectiveness.

  • Adhere to all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) systems.

  • Manage the Planning Team, ensuring a comprehensive planning and scheduling service is delivered to the organization.

  • Collaborate with client cost and planning teams to implement and continuously improve planning processes and procedures.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, analyzing contractor reports.

  • Manage activities and processes for asset preparation and ensure consistent and accurate execution of shutdown plans.

  • Schedule all relevant HSE plan activities.

  • Liaise with the management team on all cost and planning issues.

  • Prepare regular status reports and forecasts for project management and client review.

  • Supervise and develop other planning and specialist support staff, both in the home office and field locations.

  • Integrate activity levels between P3 and project management reporting tools.

  • Maintain current and baseline schedules, analyze the impact of proposed changes, and manage the baseline change control authorization process.

  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities, adhering to relevant Oil & Gas Business Unit guidelines.

  • Prioritize personal safety and follow safe working practices as outlined by the Oil & Gas Business Unit's Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

  • Minimum of eight years of total experience following graduation.

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar project planning engineer role.

  • Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with project planning and scheduling software.

  • Proven track record of scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on various project stages in a multi-project environment using Primavera P6.

  • Ability to identify and communicate the project's critical path and proactively address challenges to ensure on-time completion.
