The Opportunity:

Join Worley as an AWP Implementation Specialist and play a pivotal role in optimizing construction project planning and execution. You'll be responsible for guiding subcontractors' Work Face Planners (WFPs) in implementing AWP, ensuring efficient and collaborative work processes.

What You'll Do:

• AWP Implementation & Support:

  • Facilitate the implementation of AWP methodology by providing guidance and support to subcontractors' WFPs.

  • Collaborate with WFPs to develop comprehensive Installation Work Packages (IWPs) that clearly define project scope, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements for each construction phase.

  • Ensure IWPs align seamlessly with the project's overall objectives, schedule, and sequencing.

• Streamlined Construction Planning:

  • Work with WFPs to identify dependencies, constraints, and sequencing needs to create a realistic and optimized construction timeline.

• Collaborative Work Environment:

  • Foster effective communication and coordination among subcontractors' WFPs to ensure collaborative work and planning efforts are aligned, minimizing conflicts and delays.

  • Facilitate regular meetings or workshops to address any issues or challenges.

• Performance Measurement & Improvement:

  • Establish performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of WFPs in implementing AWP.

  • Identify training needs and provide the necessary support and guidance to WFPs, enhancing their understanding of AWP concepts and methodologies.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

• Proven experience in construction management roles, with a strong track record in AWP methodology and workface planning techniques.

• In-depth understanding of construction principles, including Path of Construction and constructability.

• Familiarity with CII (Construction Industry Institute) concepts stipulated in RT 272 and RT 319.

• Hands-on experience with workface planning tools like O3 Solution, Constructsim, Smart Construction, etc.

• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management concepts.

• Understanding of digital tools used in capital projects.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on finding solutions to overcome construction challenges.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
