Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract and Lease Management Specialist to join the WCM-Q team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all contracts and leases for goods and services used by WCM-Q.

Responsibilities:

  • Review existing contracts and leases, analyzing them for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to university standards and policies.

  • Collaborate with university legal counsel to negotiate legal terms within contracts.

  • Track and collect required contract documents.

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of all contracts and prepare them for execution.

  • Maintain accurate contract records by scanning and uploading executed agreements to a designated system.

  • Generate reports on expiring agreements and follow up with relevant parties to determine renewal or termination.

  • Support the renewal or extension of existing contracts using standardized formats and established processes.

  • Assist in developing or updating standard agreements, terms, and conditions for future use.

  • Contribute to initiatives that improve contract management processes, including developing innovative solutions.

  • Collaborate with university business partners to identify industry best practices and trends for strengthening contract management.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commercial Law, or a related field.

  • Minimum: Three (3+) years of experience in a legal, risk, and compliance environment related to contracts and contract negotiation.

  • Law degree (preferred).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate contracts, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure compliance.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and working knowledge of Qatari laws.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented with the ability to build relationships across the institution.

  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with faculty, colleagues, and external partners.

  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
