Job Description

As a Research Program Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Director, Population Health and Communications Specialist, and other staff members at the IPH. You'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the Institute and its research activities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Assist and coordinate new IPH project initiatives, including research activities. This may involve reviewing scientific literature, preparing reports, and conducting independent fieldwork (as directed).

  • Event Support: Assist in preparing educational seminars, workshops, and presentations for the IPH.

  • Logistics Expertise: Help with travel arrangements for incoming guests, including developing itineraries, booking hotels, and arranging transportation.

  • Data Management: Collect, compile, and manage large datasets. You'll also customize reports, maintain databases, and design, generate, and analyze data as instructed.

  • Purchasing and Finance: Initiate purchase requisitions, close purchase orders, and review/reconcile payments for the IPH, ensuring compliance with WCM-Q's financial policies.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with staff and faculty at WCM-Q, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), and other external entities.

  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Provide cross-coverage for other IPH staff members as needed, ensuring the smooth operation of various research projects.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks assigned by the IPH leadership team.

We're looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in a similar role (research program coordinator, project coordinator, etc.).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Proven intermediate administrative and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and meticulously handle tasks.

  • Experience working independently in a cross-cultural environment while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Strong teamwork abilities.
