Teacher Assistant

The Opportunity

In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside our teachers to provide comprehensive support within the classroom. You'll assist with a variety of tasks, from developing learning materials to monitoring student progress. Your bilingualism (Arabic & English) will be a valuable asset in our diverse learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Teacher Support:

  • Work under the direct supervision of assigned teachers.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and privacy.

  • Assist teachers in developing engaging lesson plans, educational materials, and instructional tools.

• Student Support:

  • Provide individualized and small group instruction to students, as directed by the teacher.

  • Assist students with assigned coursework and projects.

  • Help distribute, collect, and grade learning materials.

  • Assist teachers with maintaining accurate student records.

  • Supervise students independently for short periods under the teacher's general supervision.

  • Foster a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

• Classroom Management:

  • Assist teachers in implementing classroom rules and procedures.

  • Supervise students on the playground and during field trips.

  • Help with classroom inventory control.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the teacher or principal, such as lunchroom supervision, recess duty, or library activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or English Literature (preferred).

• Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English (required).

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds.

• Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.

• Desire to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
