The Opportunity:

In this rewarding role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of K-5 students. You'll create engaging lesson plans, implement the school curriculum, and use a variety of teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of your students. You'll be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and empowered to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a well-rounded curriculum, incorporating language arts, science, social studies, civics, literature, and math.

• Design interactive and dynamic lesson plans, adapting them throughout the year to ensure optimal pacing.

• Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into your curriculum, ensuring alignment with state standards.

• Implement the school's curriculum in a way that celebrates the diverse backgrounds of your students.

• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and established disciplinary procedures.

• Create a safe and orderly learning environment conducive to focused learning.

• Continuously assess student performance, monitoring their progress in academics, behavior, social development, and physical health.

• Provide differentiated instruction, catering to individual learning styles and needs.

• Set clear learning objectives for lessons, units, and projects, communicating them clearly to students.

• Collaborate with parents/guardians, colleagues, counselors, and administrators to address student needs and ensure academic success.

• Maintain accurate and complete student records as per school policies and regulations.

• Motivate students to explore learning opportunities and persevere through challenges, preparing them for future academic success.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or English Literature (preferred).

• Native English speaker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• 2-3 years of experience teaching elementary school grades (K-5).

• Passion for creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.

• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.

• Commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
