The Opportunity

Tasnee is seeking a qualified Instrumentation Technician IV to join their ECx MTC expansion project team in Jubail, KSA. In this role, you'll play a vital role in supporting the construction and commissioning phases of the project, leveraging your expertise to ensure the proper installation, calibration, and functionality of instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Safety First: Obtain work permits, adhere to all safety protocols, and promote a safe work environment.

• Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of instrumentation principles, tools, test equipment, and fittings.

• Document Management: Effectively read, interpret, and modify technical documents, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, data sheets, and hook-up drawings.

• Control Systems Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of control valves, transmitters, gauges, and PLC systems.

• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machine monitoring systems (Bentley Nevada) and PLCs.

• Calibration & Maintenance: Perform calibration and troubleshooting procedures for various instruments, including pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, level instruments, and control valves.

• Loop Understanding: Grasp the concepts of open-loop, closed-loop control systems, and safety overrides within instrumentation.

The Ideal Candidate

• Diploma in Instrumentation or a relevant equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 10 years of experience working as an Instrumentation Technician in an industrial setting.

• Strong understanding of safety procedures and a commitment to safe work practices.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents (P&IDs, loop diagrams, data sheets, etc.).

• Experience with instrument calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.

• In-depth knowledge of control valves, transmitters, gauges, and PLC systems.

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose machine monitoring systems (Bentley Nevada) and PLCs.
