The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Ground Segment Expert to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

• Ground Segment Management: Manage all aspects of the ground segment system, including requirements definition, development, qualification, operation, and interface specifications. Work closely with satellite and payload teams.

• Procurement Support: Assist with the preparation and evaluation of industrial procurements for ground segment infrastructure.

• Contractor Monitoring: Monitor industrial activities related to ground segment infrastructure procurement and construction phases. Evaluate contractor performance and propose improvements.

• Ground System Engineering: Manage ground segment system engineering and performance, including mission and spacecraft control centers, operational aspects, and communication networks.

• Manufacturing & Verification: Manage the ground segment system's manufacturing, assembly, integration, verification, and testing processes.

• Deployment & Operations: Prepare and support the deployment of ground infrastructure. Manage ongoing operations and maintainability of the ground segment.

• Anomaly Resolution: Contribute to the analysis, investigation, and resolution of system-level anomalies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.

• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting ground segment definition, development, verification, and validation.

• Solid understanding of individual ground segment component development and data quality monitoring.

• In-depth knowledge of mission operations, including flight control, command & control, and data acquisition/processing/distribution.

• Experience with commissioning phases.

• Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies.

• Understanding of system engineering practices.

• Experience with SAR data processing (desirable).

• Experience with managing industrial contracts (desirable).

• Proficient written and spoken English language skills.
