Job Description
Serco is currently bidding for a prestigious new project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is seeking an experienced Facilities Management (FM) Helpdesk Manager. The role involves supporting the delivery and management of service providers and integrating site-wide operations for a Ministry in KSA.
Project Purpose: The project aims to provide consulting and management support to the Ministry in KSA, focusing on managing and maintaining assets and facilities effectively. This includes improving activities to meet service requirements, developing business strategies to reduce costs, and enhancing practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning:
Manage operation support services functional area and venue plans.
Ensure implementation and adherence to event-wide policies and procedures.
Represent the operations support services department in matters related to maintenance operations.
Work with venue management and overlay teams to meet facilities management requirements.
Operational Responsibilities:
Act as the initial point of contact for onsite operations support services activities.
Manage service providers' adherence to planned preventative maintenance and periodic cleaning tasks.
Ensure reactive work orders are carried out in accordance with contractual SLAs.
People Responsibilities:
Provide effective line management to direct reports.
Evaluate performance of individual direct reports.
Provide visible leadership to the team and key stakeholders.
Event Time Responsibilities:
Role may evolve throughout the event based on operational needs.
Specific Requirements:
6+ years' experience, including 2 years in a similar role within a dynamic environment.
Program/project management experience coordinating complex major event projects.
Background in facilities management and operations.
Degree in engineering or equivalent, specializing in power systems and large networks.
Fluency in English (reading and writing), Arabic or other second language preferable.
