Job Description

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the exploration and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions across Ooredoo's operations. You will collaborate closely with various teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI innovation, develop robust use cases, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Lead the integration and optimization of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies to develop innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency within the telecom sector.

    • Design and implement advanced Chatbot architectures tailored to address specific industry challenges, leveraging AI techniques to deliver personalized and efficient customer interactions.

    • Develop and execute strategies for deploying GenAI solutions across various telecom applications, driving business growth and customer engagement through intelligent automation and predictive analytics.

    • Manage relationships with AI vendors and partners, evaluating and selecting suitable technologies to meet evolving needs, ensuring seamless integration and maximum return on investment (ROI).

    • Utilize AI and machine learning algorithms to analyze telecom data, extracting actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making across network optimization, customer segmentation, and marketing strategies.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product development, marketing, customer service) to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation and ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Knowledge and Innovation:

    • Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the telecom sector and orchestrating the integration of new tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the AI team, sharing knowledge and best practices on NLP, Chatbots, GenAI, and the latest advancements in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering with a comprehensive understanding of AI management principles.

  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunication data domains.

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in architecting and delivering robust AI platforms, showcasing expertise in designing scalable and efficient solutions.

  • Demonstrated deep awareness of evolving AI technology standards and trends in data transformation, ensuring the ability to adapt and leverage technologies effectively.

  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing end-to-end AI pipelines, showcasing proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

  • Strong proficiency with open-source communities, illustrating the ability to effectively utilize distributed computing frameworks for large-scale data processing and analysis.

  • Preference for certification in AI practices, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively within agile environments.

Core Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field (required).

  • MBA (preferred).

  • International experience, preferably in the MENA and SEA regions (preferred).
