Job Description

Marsh is a leading global firm offering risk management solutions and advisory services to clients in the energy and power sector. They are seeking a motivated and talented engineer to join their growing team in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

About the Role:

In this role, you will support senior engineers and consultants on various engineering, consulting, and analytics projects within the energy and power industry. You will gain valuable hands-on experience working on real-world challenges, collaborating with a cross-functional team, and contributing to Marsh's commitment to energy transition and climate resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior engineers in conducting risk assessments and process safety analyses for clients across various industries.

  • Utilize risk assessment methodologies and tools to identify potential hazards, assess consequences, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate engineering risks associated with new construction projects in the energy, power, and renewables sector.

  • Assist in developing and implementing risk management plans, including emergency response protocols, safety training programs, and regulatory compliance strategies.

  • Support on-site engineering surveys to assess the risk profile of manufacturing plants in the energy, power, and renewables industry.

  • Analyze incident data and contribute to root cause analyses to prevent future occurrences.

  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends, regulations, and advancements in risk engineering and chemical process safety.

  • Share knowledge and contribute to continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) with a focus on energy and power systems (required).

  • Strong academic background in mechanics, chemistry, thermodynamics, and chemical process safety (required).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions (required).

  • Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences (required).

  • Prior internship or research experience in the energy or chemical engineering field (preferred).

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in the energy and power sector (desirable).
