Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Leadership: Lead the production of LCI's financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and SORP standards. Provide financial leadership and mentorship to your team, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial information and advice.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including Corporation Tax, VAT returns, and Withholding Tax (WHT). Ensure strict adherence to local laws and regulations.
Cash Flow Management: Develop and maintain effective cash flow forecasts, managing relationships with banks and external stakeholders.
Audit & Financial Close: Lead the external audit process, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely year-end financial closure.
Management Accounting: Provide accurate and insightful management accounting information to support group account consolidation.
Capital Expenditure: Report on LCI's capital expenditure and collaborate with the Group Management Accountant on forecasts and budgets.
Process Improvement: Work collaboratively with the UK Group Finance team to streamline financial processes and integrate data from various systems.
Training & Development: Create training materials and guidance documents on financial accounting matters for your team.
Regulatory Updates: Keep finance colleagues informed of any changes in regulatory requirements.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Accountant: Hold a recognized accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with over 5 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role.
Financial Expertise: Possess a strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and SORP accounting standards, with an understanding of the education sector.
Leadership & Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Be able to work independently with strong organizational abilities.
Team Leadership: Have experience leading a finance team and presenting effectively to senior stakeholders.
Experience: Proven track record in producing annual statutory accounts for large organizations, managing VAT and Corporate Tax, and experience in both the education sector and another industry.
