Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary diseases. You will play a vital role in assessing patients' needs, developing treatment plans, and administering various respiratory therapies.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of respiratory care procedures, including medication administration, airway management, and bronchopulmonary hygiene.

  • Continuously monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans as needed in consultation with physicians.

  • Read and interpret physician orders, including ventilator settings.

  • Operate and manage mechanical ventilators to support patients with breathing difficulties.

  • Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures to assess respiratory function (e.g., blood gas analysis, capnometry).

  • Collaborate with physicians in developing and modifying respiratory care plans for optimal patient outcomes.

  • Assist physicians and the Code Team during cardiac and respiratory emergencies, including airway management and blood gas analysis.

  • Provide advanced airway management techniques such as intubation and tracheal suctioning.

  • Interpret basic electrocardiogram (EKG) tracings and document findings.

  • Assist with pulmonary diagnostic procedures as required.

  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff and students.

  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of respiratory care equipment.

  • Adhere to strict hospital infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Technology (North American) (required).

  • Two (2) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of experience with an Associate's degree (required).

  • For Grade 09 position:

    • Four (4) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist at KSFH&RC.

    • Average annual performance appraisal of at least 3.5 for the past four years.

    • Fifty (50) hours of completed Continuing Medical Education (CME).

  • For all applicants:

    • Respiratory Therapy Registry (RRT) from NBRC or CSRT (required for North American graduates).

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

    • Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification.

    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

    • Current registration from the country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) (required).
