Network Technician II

This role plays a vital role in safeguarding the security of KSFH&RC's Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) assets and networks. You will be responsible for monitoring for security events, identifying potential problems, and escalating issues as needed. By doing so, you will help to minimize service interruptions and ensure the security of patient data.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor security-related events on a 24/7 basis, logging and documenting them for future reference.

• Assist with troubleshooting security issues and identify potential security breaches.

• Provide support to the Network & Security Senior Technician as required.

• Strictly adhere to established system safety and security procedures for the healthcare computing environment.

• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and best practices.

• Comply with all relevant hospital policies and procedures.

• Perform other assigned duties as directed.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).

• High School diploma or equivalent (considered with relevant experience).

• No prior experience required for those with a diploma.

• One (1) year of related experience in IT security (preferred) for those with a high school education.
