Job Description
Primary Functions: * Manage coordination and delivery of Architectural projects
Lead and develop Architecture team capabilities and skills
Duty Statement:
* Plan, lead and manage the Architectural team resourcing, delivery, and skill development within a 1-2-year time horizon
Allocate tasks and budgets to Architectural team
Provides overall vision and direction for the team.
Coordinates with other Team Leaders in GHD globally to provide a collective approach to delivery.
Directly inputs into the plan for the Business Group. Support the BGL in achieving the group's targets and business plan objectives
Possess extensive experience managing complex Architectural designs
Ability to effectively manage people and coordinate with the other multi-discipline project teams
Knowledge and experience of relevant and upcoming design software
Experience in securing Client and authority liaison for design approvals
Preparation of design reports for key design stage deliverables
Draws on professional knowledge and best practice to define or diagnose issues or obstacles, and define the most effective and efficient solution for moderately complex problems without the benefit of defined procedures
Identifies new product or service offerings to better meet the needs of existing clients or markets
Leads the development and submission of proposals for routine, low risk projects which at times may involve convincing internal and external stakeholders who have a desire to reach agreement
Exercises limited management authority; typically sets employee performance objectives, conducts performance reviews, trains team members, and may recommend salary actions
Would be called upon to be responsible for smaller or routine projects (as per GHD Limit of Authority and Governance) in the role of Project Director; or would be called upon to be responsible for large or more complex projects (as per GHD Limit of Authority and Governance) in the role of Project Manager.
