Job Description

Manage the Risk Management Department, in purpose to identify and assess the potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity of Bindawood by leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the risk management framework.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Reducing liability and increasing the stability of Bindawood’s operations.

  • Protecting people and assets from harmful events.

  • Reducing threats of possible litigation.

  • Manage, Implement, and Maintain Bindawood’s Enterprise Risk Management Policy & Procedures manual to ensure all parties understand the scope and processes.

  • Manage and maintain Bindawood’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework such as Risk Appetite, Risk Registers, and Risk Mitigation plans to ensure adequate documentation and support decision-making.

  • Guide integration of Enterprise Risk Management with other organizational planning and management activities in Bindawood to ensure alignment of objectives with organization objectives.

  • Conduct risk assessment across Bindawood’s organizational business lines and liaise with Bindawood’s departmental heads in ensuring the completion of their departmental risk registers.

  • Identify training needs for risk management and oversee the development of enterprise risk competence and awareness across Bindawood.

  • Work with Bindawood’s Chief Audit and GRC Officer to ensure the identification and prioritization of risks and reporting of the same.

  • Liaise with department and division heads on the adequacy of proposed actions in the management of risk areas.

  • Monitor implementation of action plans to ensure risk mitigation efforts are proceeding as required.

  • Proactively identify emerging risks and report to relevant stakeholders, to minimize or stop any adverse impact on Business.

  • Maintain Enterprise Risk Management software application for more effective collaboration, holistic reporting, and proactive monitoring and train departmental risk champions on implementation.

  • Establishing Key Risk Indicators schema, for proactive risk management.

  • Develop Risk-Control-Self-Assessment Standards, for consistent & robust identification.

  • Develop Business Continuity Plan to ensure minimum disruption to business in an emergency/disaster situation

Job Qualifications Requirement (Academic, training, languages, etc.)

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Risk Management or Accounting, in addition to a professional certificate in Risk Management such as CRMA, CRISC, FRM, or CIA.

Minimum Work Experience

  • 8 years in risk management were at least 3 years in a managerial position in Risk Management.
