Procurement Engineer

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization's objectives.

• Identify potential suppliers and maintain a strong network of contacts in the industry.

• Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.

• Conduct market research to identify trends and pricing, and make recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.

• Prepare and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.

• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.

• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and make recommendations for improvements to procurement processes.

• Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff.

Preferred Candidate:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices.

• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.

• Ability to analyze and interpret data and make informed decisions.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.

• Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and standards.
