Executive Vice President

American International University, Kuwait (AIU), a premier institution committed to academic excellence, seeks a qualified and experienced Executive Vice President (EVP) to join our dynamic leadership team.

The Opportunity

As the EVP, you'll play a pivotal role in driving AIU's continued success. You'll oversee all academic affairs, ensuring the highest quality of education for our students. From strategic planning and program development to faculty leadership and institutional accreditation, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of AIU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all academic operations.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs.

• Ensure faculty excellence through recruitment, development, and performance management.

• Champion institutional and programmatic accreditation, elevating AIU's standards and effectiveness.

• Lead the university's efforts to incorporate cutting-edge technology into the curriculum, preparing graduates for a competitive job market.

• Manage the Registrar's office, optimizing timetables and faculty resources to support academic goals.

• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the academic environment.

• Build strong relationships with partner universities, ensuring successful program implementation.

• Serve as the university's ambassador, representing AIU at external functions and forging strategic partnerships.

• Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and improve student outcomes.

• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment that empowers faculty, staff, and students.

• Provide oversight for university infrastructure development, including physical facilities and information technology.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds an advanced degree (preferably an MBA) or a Ph.D. in a relevant field.

• Possesses a minimum of five years of experience in senior-level leadership within higher education.

• Demonstrated track record of success in strategic planning, educational master planning, and facilities master planning.

• Strong understanding of academic affairs, student life, and university administration.

• Proven ability to provide visionary, innovative, and effective leadership.

• Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Experience in preparing for institutional and program accreditation is a plus.

• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on budget and resource management.

• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

• Demonstrated experience in staff development and evaluation.

• A passionate advocate for student success with a focus on creating a cohesive team environment centered on teaching, learning, and student achievement.
