Job Description
The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for the management of multi-showrooms. The Retail Sales Manager will ensure that showrooms within their area generate sales and profitability to meet pre-set business targets. They will be accountable for effective store operations, efficient manpower planning, recruitment, and learning and development. Additionally, the Retail Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring that each showroom provides best-in-class customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct periodic multi-store visits, utilizing StorIQ high-impact management checklists.
Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance multi-store performance.
Enhance and improve sales performance of all stores under remit, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as credit, X care, and accessories performance.
Set monthly targets for relevant stores and review KPIs and exceptions.
Review weekly/daily marketing communications to ensure store understanding and implementation.
Regularly review relevant competition activity and provide structured feedback to relevant teams.
Participate in weekly senior leadership trading meetings.
Drive training agenda and implementation with head office training team and localized in-house initiatives.
Provide support for Sr./Showroom Managers when required.
Review and improve trends in NPS and mystery shopping scores.
Ensure team diversity in hiring approach and implement team-building initiatives to increase engagement and retention.
Coach and mentor staff performance and ensure sound mystery shopper results.
Control store financials (P&L, shrinkage targets, cash management, store inventory).
Maintain store appearance (layouts, merchandising, planogram implementation, in-store branding, and POS material).
Build strong working relationships with category, marketing, supply chain, finance, online, and facilities support teams.
Engage with all digital change initiatives with the leadership team and relevant functions.
Build strong working relationships with business partners at store and head office levels.
Candidate Requirements:
6+ years' experience in the retail industry, specifically within a Sales team.
Experience leading store teams.
Strong business acumen.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong managerial abilities.
High levels of resilience and drive.
Ability to build and maintain strong peer relationships and excel in cross-functional projects.
Familiarity with retail operations applications such as StorIQ, iRex, SAP, Business Objects, and Tableau.
Bilingual (Arabic & English).
