As the Head Cashier, you will lead and manage a team of cashiers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures while promoting exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. Job Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Ensure cashiers greet customers with a smile and maintain a presentable, pleasant, and friendly demeanor.

  • Identify and fulfill customer needs, ensuring all customers are treated equally and with respect.

  • Oversee that cashiers assist with packing purchases and guide customers to the delivery area.

  • Ensure accurate information is provided to customers at the POS terminal.

  • Ensure customer information is updated and offer to forward invoices via email.

  • Ensure cashiers explain the return and exchange policy to customers.

Sales:

  • Ensure all cashiers have excellent and up-to-date knowledge of products and services.

  • Keep cashiers aware of in-store promotions, discounts, credit options, and coupons.

  • Promote gift cards, warranty programs, and Telly cards, emphasizing their benefits to customers.

Operations:

  • Ensure sufficient levels of bags, printer paper rolls, and other necessary supplies are available.

  • Maintain functional equipment at POS and report any errors.

  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for existing and new cashiers.

  • Ensure POS terminal areas are clean, tidy, and presentable.

  • Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, deposit slips, and keep records of cash and credit transactions.

  • Perform general cashiering duties, such as scanning items, collecting and verifying payments.

  • Balance cashiers at the end of the shift, make adjustments as needed, and prepare the bank deposit for pick up the next day.

Ensure All Cashiers:

  • Expedite customer payments efficiently.

  • Apply all POS procedures as instructed by store management.

  • Maintain a clean and tidy cash desk/packing area.

  • Follow organizational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Adhere to company's safety and security procedures.

  • Handle cash/credit payments accurately.

  • Count and balance cash, credit slips, vouchers, and coupons with total sales transactions at the end of the shift.

  • Master computer applications necessary for finalizing customers' payments.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and good analytical skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
