Boiler Operator

Responsibilities:

* Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers, including starting up, shutting down, and monitoring boiler systems.

• Monitor and record boiler readings, such as pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption, to ensure proper operation.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, replacing parts, and adjusting controls.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the boiler system, including identifying and repairing leaks, malfunctions, or other abnormalities.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, including regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of safety devices.

• Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and repairs.

• Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and production, to schedule maintenance and repair work.

• Train and supervise assistant boiler operators.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in boiler technology.

Preferred Candidate:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Boiler Operator.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid Boiler Operator certificate or license.

• Strong understanding of boiler systems, including controls, pumps, valves, and related equipment.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.

• Attention to detail and ability to accurately record and maintain documentation.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to boiler operations.
