Job Description
The Fleet Management Department Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic objectives and KPIs, managing the department’s budget, overseeing fleet operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices. The role also includes managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy FormulationDevelop the Fleet Management Department’s strategic objectives and KPIs.
Ensure all employees work towards achieving these objectives.
Review operating results and take corrective actions to address insufficient results.
Budget and Cost ControlDevelop the annual budget for the Fleet Management Department.
Ensure all employees work within the assigned budget by setting required targets and responsibilities.
Policies and ProceduresImplement the department’s policies and procedures to achieve its objectives.
Communicate and discuss guidelines and procedures with employees to ensure responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities are defined and understood.
Fleet ManagementManage, analyze, and review investigations and market surveys to gather information on selling/leasing prices offered by dealers.
Stay up-to-date with current market vehicle prices by surveying local selling/leasing rates.
Oversee inbound/outbound logistics operations, including transportation, safety performance, and logistics quality management.
Monitor Qatar Fleet Management activities and ensure compliance with The Bridge Co.’s procedures, rules, and regulations.
Analyze fleet information and user surveys to forecast new requirements.
Select suitable offers from dealers based on clients’ vehicle specifications.
Review purchase orders and delivery notes before submission to dealers and the Finance Department.
Ensure fleet availability to meet all client requests by scheduling, forecasting, and surveying current client trends.
Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, and documentation for new fleet vehicles.
Oversee the data management system to organize fleets per various schedules and requests.
Monitor the maintenance of an up-to-date and secure database, including documents related to sales, registration, inspections, and maintenance of fleet vehicles.
Develop and implement standard operational procedures to maintain vehicles, advocating industry best practices.
Plan, process, and execute vehicle purchase and replacement efficiently.
Oversee vehicle deliveries to ensure proper prepping, tagging, numbering, inspection, and application of ID Control Stickers for contracted service.
In coordination with the warehouse manager/workshop, oversee activities related to utilization, repair, preventative maintenance, and replacement of the vehicle fleet.
Authorize requisitions for parts, supplies, and equipment; oversee automotive damage repairs and all mechanical repairs and maintenance activities to maximize fleet utilization and prevent operational delays.
Ensure routine and ad hoc cleaning, fueling, insurance, repair, and maintenance activities are implemented.
Guide and assist subordinates to ensure smooth workflow of operations.
Ensure all clients receive outstanding customer service with a high service caliber to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
Maintain a solid relationship with current clients and attract new clients to increase The Bridge Co.’s client database and profitability.
Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by Direct Management.
Skills
Educational QualificationBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Master's Degree in Business Administration is an advantage.
Work ExperienceMinimum of 6-8 years of experience in the same or related field.
