Software Systems Engineer

Performs software and system integration activities essential for integrating and verifying evolutions in a software solution/product, aiming for customer satisfaction. Contributes to co-engineering activities with the Systems Engineering team to ensure software-system consistency and effective software contribution to systems integration and verification/configuration and change management activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Execute system software integration and testing activities.

2. Analyze and troubleshoot software problems, effectively communicating with the software development team.

3. Contribute to formalizing technical feedback to improve the software product.

4. Perform SSI checklists with the Software Integration Manager/Lead to validate main functionalities of each software baseline.

5. Collaborate closely with the Software Integration Manager/Lead to resolve defects and ensure coherence among teams.

6. Investigate, analyze, resolve, and formalize troubleshooting reports for any defects found in the software system platform.

7. Define software integration and verification strategy and plan for projects with the support of System Experts.

8. Responsible for software configurations, subsystem integrations, system verifications and validations, and post-deployment support.

9. Provide systems operations support to the client.

10. Create and maintain documentation supporting SSI activities, including checklists, defect analysis, troubleshooting reports, and KPIs.

11. Maintain software and system test results and traceability to requirements.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Knowledge/experience in System and Software Design.

• Proficiency in writing software requirement specifications, test procedures, design specifications, and software and hardware interface designs.

• Basic knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and implementation frameworks.

• Proficiency in software technologies, including database design, optimization, deployment, and configuration on various operating systems.

• Hands-on experience with Object Oriented Programming Languages such as JAVA, C++, C#, .NET, and J2EE Technologies.

• Development experience using Web Services, XML, and UML.

• Willingness to work during holidays, at remote sites, and during different shifts as required.

• Fluent communication skills in English/French; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Qualification, Certification & Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant discipline.

• Willingness to enhance current skills and learn new ones.

• Adaptability to various testing techniques for system acceptance.

• Strong technical report writing skills.
