About the Role

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of general services and supply chain/logistics for Thales in Saudi Arabia (including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Jubail) and Central Asia. You will lead a team of professionals and ensure the efficient operation of warehouses, manage logistics and customs clearance, oversee a pool of drivers and leased vehicles, and implement effective telecommunication strategies. You will also work closely with procurement and project teams to optimize the supply chain for civil and defense projects throughout the region.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general services, including driver pool operations, leased vehicles, telecommunications, and other related services.

• Lead the supply chain function, encompassing warehouse management, logistics, and customs clearance.

• Oversee warehouse operations, including leased space and outsourced storage facilities.

• Manage a team responsible for logistics and customs formalities (working closely with freight forwarders and local brokers).

• Collaborate with procurement and project teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.

• Stay up-to-date on customs regulations and share this knowledge with Thales entities and suppliers.

• Select and manage material transporters within the region.

• Develop and implement logistical strategies for civil and defense projects.

• Identify and resolve process gaps and issues to optimize the supply chain.

• Support the Bid Team in developing supply chain strategies and costing during the bidding stage.

Qualifications:

• 10-15 years of experience in similar general services and supply chain/logistics activities (required).

• Working knowledge of Thales processes and tools for these functions (required).

• Experience managing multi-disciplinary and multi-entity projects (a plus).

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

• Effective time management skills.

• Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines.

• Fluency in English (required); Arabic and French language skills (a plus).
