Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Techncian (Service Engineer) - Kuwait

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician is responsible for attending breakdowns, conducting fault-finding, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on various powered access machines. Planned preventative Maintenance (PPMs) is also a key aspect of the role. The position requires strong customer focus and excellent communication skills to build and maintain solid customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planned Maintenance:

   • Complete planned maintenance activities, ensuring the fleet's appearance meets corporate standards and waste disposal follows company policy.

2. Repair:

   • Thoroughly diagnose, fault find, and repair machines within the workshop according to manufacturer specifications and company policy.

   • Follow proper R4 procedures (PHI - Repair - PDI - Available) when changing machine status without deviation.

3. Quality, Health, and Safety:

   • Maintain the highest safety standards during task execution, adhering to Safe System Of Work (SSOW) and risk assessment procedures.

   • Flag any non-compliance with health, safety, and repair standards to the line manager.

   • Validate correct operation of repaired equipment through test-driving and conduct test drives to ensure proper functionality.

Skills:

Essential:

• High school education, vocational qualification, or above.

• Previous experience working on a range of complex machinery such as powered access equipment, diggers, drilling equipment, dumpers, excavators, forklifts, ground-care machinery, and plant machinery.

• Good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical circuits and systems, with the ability to read mechanical and/or electrical circuit diagrams and schematic drawings.

• Ability to methodically find fault, diagnose, repair, and maintain various powered machines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
